Trade agreements

Origin matters. Eligibility comes before preference.

A trade agreement does not make every product duty-free. We review the tariff line, origin rule and supporting documents for your destination.

Before claiming a preference

  1. 01

    Confirm the tariff line

The product form and destination classification determine the applicable schedule.

  2. 02

    Check origin eligibility

A preferential Certificate of Origin is used only where the agreement and product qualify.

  3. 03

    Confirm import treatment

The buyer and customs adviser confirm the current duty treatment at quotation.
